Falling leaves, a fire in the fireplace, wrapping up in a cozy blanket and the smell of an apple pie baking in the oven, mmmm! These are some of my favorite things about the upcoming holiday season.
I want to share with you a few essential oils that can help you recreate that nostalgic, holiday feeling throughout your entire day.
Cinnamon - A spicy scent that makes you feel warm and cozy, diffuse with nutmeg and clove or vanilla to make your house smell like something yummy is cooking!
Nutmeg - This oil is good for giving a boost to the immune system and has a sweet and spicy scent that can remind you of your favorite fall activity.
Clove - This can be used as an anti-inflammatory and even can be used in the treatment of toothaches! The aroma of a few drops on one of our lava stone necklaces can be just what you need to boost your energy levels!
Vanilla - The scent of vanilla has a relaxing and calming effect on the senses, which makes it a perfect choice for bedtime. The sweet tranquility of vanilla can aid in a good night’s sleep - and who doesn’t need that?! This oil is also an aphrodisiac so maybe wearing a little of it could help in the love department!
Ginger - Earthy and spicy are a couple of words that come to mind when thinking about ginger. It has a the ability to balance and ground you while also giving you that extra boost of energy during that late afternoon slump.
If you’ve ever looked at the ingredient list on a container of pumpkin pie spice, it should come as no surprise that many of the spice counterparts of the above mentioned oils are in it.
That same feeling of warmth and nostalgia that comes from the smell of a pie in the oven can also come from diffusing or wearing essential oil jewelry. Enjoy this season in all it’s glory in any way you can!
